Furiendly ("Furiendly," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Furiendly mobile application (the "App"), a social platform that helps pet owners discover and connect with other pet owners and their pets nearby. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account and using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
Information You Provide
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your phone number (if you sign in by phone) or the identifier provided by Sign in with Apple. If you choose to hide your email through Apple's Hide My Email feature, we receive only the relayed address.
Profile information. The details you add to your owner profile and your pet's profile, including names, a short bio, breed, age, personality and preference details, and any prompts you answer.
Photos and media. Photos and videos you upload for your profile, your pet's profile, and Stories, and photos, videos, and voice messages you send in chats. Access to your camera, microphone, and photo library is used only to create this content and only with your permission.
Messages and content. The content of messages, voice notes, reactions, and Stories you create or exchange with other users through the App.
Information Collected Automatically
Location. With your permission, we use your device's approximate ("coarse") location to show you pets and owners near you, to place your profile within a discovery area, to sort profiles by distance, and to power features such as the check-in map and nearby meetups and events. We use location only while you are using the App. Your location is associated with your account so we can provide these features, but we do not sell it and we do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites. You control location access through your device's settings and can turn it off at any time; some nearby-discovery features may not work without it.
Usage and device data. Basic information about how you use the App and limited device information, which we use to operate the service, fix problems, and improve the experience.
No tracking for advertising. We do not use your location, device identifiers, or other data to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, and we do not share your data with data brokers or third-party advertising networks for that purpose.
How We Use Your Information
To create and manage your account and profiles.
To show you nearby pets and owners and enable matching.
To show nearby places, meetups, and events, and to let you check in and coordinate meeting up with your matches.
To let you chat, share Stories, and interact with your matches.
To keep the community safe, including reviewing reports and enforcing our Terms.
To operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App.
To send you notifications related to your activity, such as new matches and messages.
How Your Information Is Shared
Your profile details, pet information, photos, and Stories are visible to other users of the App as part of the discovery and matching experience. Messages are shared with the users you send them to. We do not sell your personal information.
We use trusted service providers to run the App — including cloud hosting and database services, and services that deliver push notifications and, where you use phone sign-in, send verification codes. These providers process information only to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the App.
Business transfers. If Furiendly is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred to the successor or acquiring entity as part of that transaction. Any successor entity will remain bound by the commitments in this Privacy Policy with respect to the information transferred, unless and until this Policy is updated. If a business transfer results in a material change to how your personal information is used, we will notify you and, where required by applicable law, give you the opportunity to exercise your rights, including the right to opt out.
Safety, Blocking, and Reporting
The App provides tools to block and report other users and their content. When you submit a report, we may review the reported content and account information to take appropriate action, which can include removing content or suspending accounts.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile → Settings → Delete Account), which removes your profile and associated data from our active systems. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Your Choices and Rights
You can edit your profile and pet information at any time in the App.
You can control camera, microphone, photo, location, and notification permissions in your device settings.
You can delete your account and associated data from within the App.

Children's Privacy
Furiendly is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
